Our proprietary formulation of luxurious oils ensures that each of our varieties has the flexibility to be used as a body cleansing bar as well as for shaving.  We offer a wide variety of hand poured shaving mugs in our shop, but we do not ship them due to their breakable nature. 

We formulate every bar so that it has the flexibility to be used as a shampoo bar as well as for shaving.  Please note for those with longer hair, you will probably want to use a dab of high quality conditioner for detangling.  
*We personally recommended using soft water for bathing as it seems to be more gentle on the skin & hair. If you have municipal water, a ‘whole house filter’ may be a good option as well.  Chlorine tends to cause dry skin issues, but could be avoided by adding a whole house filter or de-chlorinater.

We create an extra gentle and nourishing baby soap known as Lavender Baby Soap, which many parents use with great results. Another excellent choice is Baby Taylor Soap. For those who prefer a gentle soap without added aroma, our Non-Scents Soap is a perfect choice. 

*please note that these are the ONLY three varieties that we currently formulate for children under the age of 4. 

Our base formula contains a proprietary blend of luxurious plant oils developed specifically to reduce the appearance of flaky skin associated with dryness. Cold process soap naturally retains glycerin, which offers natural moisturizing properties. Read more about how our handmade soaps are unique.  

We recognize that our customers have diverse needs, and we have developed additional unique blends of specialty soap with particular requests in mind. Customers have reported clearer-looking skin after using some of our specialty blends.  

Taylor’s Soap has been blended specifically to reduce the appearance of dryness that may be associated with certain conditions.  

Our various Patchouli Blends are loved by many; Patchouli Essential oil has oil-balancing properties with an iconic aroma. 

We craft a wide variety of handmade soaps with different needs in mind, including soothing baby soap and moisturizing soap. Many of our products are made with natural ingredients and contain essential oils known to assist with specific skin care concerns. 

Peppermint Tea Tree Soap is specially formulated for those looking to reduce the appearance of blemishes associated with oily skin. 

Rose Geranium Soap is blended thoughtfully for those who wish to reduce the appearance of redness. 

Cleopatra’s Secret Soap is designed specifically for mature skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, making it an excellent choice for skin care. 

The longevity of your handmade bar soap can depend on many factors, but we have a few recommendations to help your bar of soap last longer.  

**PROPER DRAINING**  

Make sure your soap does not sit in a puddle of water in a soap dish. A soap saver pad or wooden draining soap dish works great to keep it as dry as possible between uses.

**SIDE REST**  

When not in use, set your soap on its side. The less surface area of the bar exposed to moisture, the better it can dry between uses.  

**SOAP SLEEVE**  

Using a soap saver sleeve in the shower can help maintain your soap’s integrity.  

**BUY EXTRA**  

Consider buying extra bars of our handmade soap and storing them in a dry location to allow them to age. As our soap ages, the water evaporates, leaving you with a harder, longer-lasting bar.

**USE A WASHCLOTH**  

Using a washcloth can extend the life of your bar soap. Under warm water, wet your washcloth, place the bar of soap in the middle, and then fold the washcloth over the soap while rubbing to create a nice lather. After lathering, set your soap back on the soap dish to drain and dry out between uses. By using the washcloth to lather and clean, you expose the soap to less water time, unlike when it's rubbed directly onto your skin & used under running water in a shower.  I

**SAVE THE SCRAPS**  

We save remnants of soap and add them right into the soap sleeve. For a soap saver pad that is full of soap, fill your sink (or a large bowl) with warm water and soak the soap saver pads or soap dishes to remove soap remnants. You can drain your sink after the soak if you wish, but we personally save the soapy water for our cleaning that day. Just be sure to discard any unused soapy water at the end of the day.  

In general, one standard size bar of our handmade soap can last anywhere from 20-40+ showers, depending on various factors. By using our handmade soaps, you're making a positive impact on the environment (no plastic bottles), supporting a small family business, and enjoying a natural product made with a proprietary blend of luxury oils that contain moisturizing properties, ideal for your skin care routine.

We do not currently offer a liquid soap for sale, but you can try dissolving a quarter of our moisturizing soap bar in an 8 oz pump bottle filled with distilled water. This allows you to experiment with converting our soap into a liquid form suitable for hand washing. Some customers enjoy using this method for their skin care routines, while others do not find it as effective. One of our team members uses this technique at home with a refillable glass pump, and it works well for her family, who also use it for cleaning purposes. If you decide to try this method, we recommend that the liquid soap be used within 3 days.

We are often asked how to use our handmade soap along with essential oils for cleaning purposes. The following is simply information about how we use natural ingredients, including essential oils, for cleaning our homes. We do not recommend that you do the same as we do since we are unaware of the type of flooring or surfaces you have—some of these cleaning recipes may be damaging to the surface you intend to clean, which is why we are simply sharing information based on our experience. We find that Tea Tree, Lavender, and Eucalyptus essential oils work well for cleaning. With small children or pets in the house, we have always used essential oils very sparingly. As a reminder, keep essential oils and all cleaning products out of the reach of children.

Floors:

half a gallon warm soapy water + 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil + 10 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Floors:

half a gallon distilled water + 1/2 cup white vinegar + a couple of drops Tea Tree Essential Oil

Rinse Load in Washer:

we occasionally add half a cup white vinegar to the rinse cycle of the washing machine

Windows:

half distilled water half white vinegar

Sinks:

Sprinkle baking soda in the sink, make a paste with a small amount of soapy water, scrub clean with a scrub brush

Mirrors:

distilled water

Bedding:

we hang our sheets on the line whenever possible, enjoying the scent of fresh air and the crispness it gives our sheets. Sunlight is known for being antibacterial, which we appreciate. We also use a couple of drops of essential oil in the wash load of our bedding, for aroma.

Additionally, to care for our skin & environment we choose clothing items that are comprised mainly of linen, cotton, alpaca and organic materials when possible. We avoid polyester clothing. 

Yes, we sure do. We pour a select variety of essential oils in-house, however we do not ship them. Visit us to purchase. 

If the soap you purchase is out of stock, we may substitute it with a similar type.  This ensures we can fulfill your order in a timely manner while also reducing excess shipping and packaging, which helps lessen our carbon footprint. If there’s no similar type available, no substitution will be made, and the cost of that product will be refunded. Whenever a substitution is necessary, we will attempt to contact you via the email or phone number you provided at checkout. If you wish to opt out of substitutions, just make a note to us at checkout.
